Great Finds at Library Book Sale
If you love libraries but hate returning books, you can check out the twice-weekly used book sale in Southampton Village to pick up books on the cheap, where all proceeds support Rogers Memorial Library.
The Friends of the Rogers Memorial Library Book Sale is open Wednesdays and Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from April to December. It is located in the basement of Cooper Hall, next door to the library on Coopers Farm Road.
Books are sorted to make it easy to find what you are looking for, such as a cookbook section with subdivisions for famous chefs, diet cooking and recipes for diabetics.
Many books in the collection are classics, but there are also hardcover books released within the last year that are priced significantly less than their cover prices.
There is even a section for books signed by their authors.
Customers can also find $2 CDs and $4 DVDs for sale, as well as audiobooks.
Donations may be brought in during sale hours or dropped off anytime in the dropbox outside Cooper Hall. Encyclopedias, foreign language books, VHS tapes, vinyl records and audio cassettes are not accepted.
