EAST END CHEFS AT OLD WHALERS'

Enjoy the tastes and treats of Thailand when the sous chef of Phao restaurant in Sag Harbor prepares samples from the wide variety of Thai foods. Summer rolls lead off the meal-a medley of fresh Thai vegetables and shrimp poached in lemongrass rolled together in a fresh rice-paper wrap. The sweet-and-sour, spicy and citrus flavors of lemongrass soup come next, followed by Pad Thai: perfectly cooked rice noodles paired with chicken and vegetables, then dressed with a house-made sauce and finished with cilantro and crushed peanuts. Coconut ice cream will make for a refreshing conclusion to the meal. Wine and water will be served throughout the program. The cost is $30, payable at the door by cash or check. Space is limited; reserve in advance by calling Lillian, 631-553-6515. Proceeds benefit the Community House Fund at Old Whalers', established to improve and maintain the facilities used by many community groups that serve several hundred people each week. Contributions to the Community House Fund are tax deductible.
