Alex and Ani Shoppers Give to Southampton Animal Shelter
Puppies visit Jobs Lane shop during benefit shopping event.
On Monday, which was Earth Day, Alex and Ani jewelry and accessories shop in Southampton Village hosted a benefit for the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation.
During the shopping event, 15 percent of sale proceeds were designated for the shelter in Hampton Bays, according to a shelter statement.
Alex and Ani's bangles, rings, earrings and other products are made in America and designed by founder Carolyn Rafaelian to be eco-friendly. The company refers to its accessories as "positive energy products that adorn the body, enlighten the mind, and empower the spirit."
Rafaelian's Charity by Design line creates products unique to specific charitable organizations that benefit from the sales.
