Gilded Age Mansions of the Downton Abbey Era

If you like Downton Abbey and all the architectural beauty and social history of that era, please ask to join my group on Facebook called, Mansions of the Gilded Age. https://www.facebook.com/groups/195023140518735/ It has over 5300 members and it is an endless exchange of interesting comments, opinions, book and movie reviews all concerning our own Downton Abbey era here in America. The Hamptons was one of the premier resorts and places where great mansions where built in the Gilded Age along with Newport, Palm Beach, Tuxedo Park, The Hudson River Valley, Lenox. The group also posts numerous photos and historical facts about the great palaces that once lined Fifth Avenue, New York. In the September issue of Architectural Digest, Mansions of the Gilded Age on Facebook was mentioned on page 42. Under the column AD HEARS, " Mansions of the Gilded Age is one of the liveliest design groups on Facebook, with members celebrating (and denigrating lavish examples of late-19th century and early-20th century domestic architecture".  It is also a wonderful venue to ask questions about historic mansions, estates or social life of the Gilded Age.
