Donations encouraged, RSVP 283-2494, light refreshments.

Dr. John Strong will give a lecture and sign copies of his new book Running on Empty: The Rise and Fall of Southampton College, 1963-2005, on Thursday, November 14 at 2 pm. This program takes place at the Rogers Mansion, 17 Meeting House Lane and is co-sponsored by Rogers Memorial Library and the Southampton Historical Museum. The lecture will trace the history of Southampton College from 1963 to 2006 when it closed. The focus will be on two themes: the growth and development of a unique campus community in the heart of the Hamptons and the factors which eventually led to its closing.
