Harbor Bells Christmas Concert in Montauk

Our annual Christmas concerts have become a tradition here on the east end.
Harbor Bells ( an English Handbell Choir) has been in existence since 1993. Starting out as a church choir at the Old Whalers Church in Sag Harbor and becoming a community choir in 2006. Starting a community choir, meant we had to raise the money to buy everything from music to books, to mallets, to the bells, and chimes. The choir consists of 10 ringers with personnel that can vary from year to year depending on schedules . The director is Valarie Bell(rightly named) who has a strong music background in voice and guitar and has been playing Bells for 27yrs. The choir plays with 3 octaves of bells and has recently added 3 octaves of chimes which have a softer sound. Harbor Bells has recorded 2 CD's that they sell at all their concerts, one is a Christmas compilation & the other is Broadway favorites including a very exciting recording of Phantom of The Opera which has been added to the Christmas concerts for this year.
The choir always collects canned goods for the local food pantries and gives a donation to the various pantries to give back to the community.
