Full Frost Moon Hike

Cosponsored by FLPG & SoFo. The Frost Moon is also known as the Full Beaver Moon. For Native Americans this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Join us for this leisurely paced one-hour hike in Vineyard Field, the field behind the South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo), and afterward, for some convivial conversation and refreshments in the moonshine. Meet at the SoFo Museum parking lot, 377 Bridgehampton Turnpike 200 yards north of the RR tracks. To make a reservation for this program please call the museum at 631-537-9735 or on night of event Jean Dodds, 631-599-2391.
