Join us for the annual Lighting of the Windmill in celebration of the holiday season. The 300-year-old landmark is currently undergoing repairs following damage from Hurricane Irene in 2011. The yoke that supports its blades was cracked, and the windmill had been without its crown. Repairs are slated to be completed in time for the lighting ceremony.
Reception to follow in Chancellors Hall.
Admission is free. Everyone is welcome.
Event will be followed by the Public Lecture Series at School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. The next topic is "Shifts Happen: How Climate Change will affect Fish and Fisheries". Lecture begins at 7:30pm.
