Community Corner

Traditional New England Barn Dance

A Traditional New England Barn Dance will be held at the Water Mill Community House on Montauk Highway by the traffic light in Water Mill on the first Saturday of each month at 8pm.  We always have a live caller and band, and families, singles and beginners of all ages are welcome.  At 7:45pm we will conduct lessons on the steps involved with this community dance form and at 8 we strike up the band! Refreshments are served and welcomed to bring for our "groaning board".  Wear comfortable clothes and soft soled shoes.  No reservations are necessary, just pay at the door.  $14 for adults, $7 for students and free for kids under 16 years old with accompanying paid adult.  Sponsored by the Long Island Traditional Music Association and the Office for Suffolk County Cultural Affairs.  For more information, go to www.litma.org or call 631 725- 3103.  Come on down!
