Ring in the New Year at Almond

Almond Restaurant & Bar will be celebrating New Year’s Eve on December 31st with a four-course dinner starting at 9 p.m.  The evening includes four courses, a champagne toast and party favors for $85 per person.  The regular a la carte menu will be offered from 6 – 8 p.m. and casual items will be offered at the bar including burgers and shrimp cocktail.   The four-course menu will be as follows:

Appetizers

Foie Gras Torchon with basil & kumquats

Classic Shrimp Cocktail

Peconic Bay Scallops with mussel-saffon “chowder” and house smoked bacon

Jonah Crab Cake with watercress wasabi cream

Middle Course

Butternut Squash Triangoli

Champagne soubise, banyuls vinegar, smoked almonds and pomegranates

Entrees

“Surf & Turf”

short ribs, lobster, chanterelles, soy-truffle coulis, parmesan crema

Olive Oil Poached Halibut

Smoked fingerlings, “oysters Rockefeller,” leeks, caviar

Duck Breast

Duck confit hash, caramelized chestnuts, poached apples, herb salad
