Christie’s Auction House Hosts Event to Promote The Etiquette and Art of Buying at Auctions.

Leading etiquette expert Patricia Napier-Fitzpatrick and art advisor Anne Hargrave will be conducting “The Etiquette and Art of Buying at Auction” in a special after-hours talk and viewing at Christie’s auction house, 20 Rockefeller Center on Dec. 7th, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Head of the Jewelry department, Rahul Kadakia, will also lead guests on an exclusive tour of the upcoming important jewels sale, just in time for the Holidays.

Anne Hargrave, founder of Anne Hargrave Fine Art, will discuss savvy buying at auction without intimidation, including the finer points of understanding price versus value.  She will also share how to be courageous and smart in bidding on objects large and small, while Ms. Napier-Fitzpatrick advises on the do’s and don’ts of auction house etiquette.
