13th Annual Long Island Walk to Defeat ALS

Long Island Walk is Largest Walk to Defeat ALS in the Country with Over 4,500 Participants Last Year


The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter will host the 13th Annual Walk to Defeat ALS fundraiser on Long Island on Sunday, September 22nd, 10:30 AM, at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, NY.


The Walk is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Before and after the walk, there will be family friendly activities such as guest stars, autograph signing by sports celebrities, face painting, Kids Zone, live music, mascots, refreshments, and other fun & games.

Proceeds from the event will go to The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter.  As one of The ALS Association's leading chapters, the Greater New York Chapter serves patients and families throughout Long Island, New York City, Westchester County, the Hudson Valley, and Northern & Central New Jersey and plays a major role in promoting the mission to lead the fight to cure and treat ALS.  The ALS Association is the only national nonprofit, voluntary, health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS.  The ALS Association is a member of the National Health Council.
