What Stories Should Southampton Patch Cover in 2013?

It's a new year, and time for a fresh start.

Whether it's the business beat, school news, government issues, police and fire happenings, or another topic close to your heart, now's the time to tell us what you'd like to see more of on Southampton Patch. We welcome all suggestions, especially those that will make our Patch a better place to visit each day.

In 2012, we covered controversial issues such as the failure of the Tuckahoe School budget and subsequent passage of a modified one; turmoil in the Southampton Town Police Department and a district attorney investigation; a supermarket proposal on County Road 39; legislation proposed in Southampton Village to allow for an unrelated supermarket, and much more.

1. Restaurant Inspection Reports for the east end by the Suffolk County Department of Health. Interesting which restaurants get violations and for what. 2. Better obituaries notices. Although the ones Patch publishes are good, a lot of people who die in your hometown, you don't know about, unless you catch it on WLNG. 3. Maybe a weekly column on East End Farming. Stories about the farmers and farm stand owners, and crops produced on the east end.
