What Have Southampton Area Residents Learned After Sandy?

Six months ago the devastating storm hit our area. Are you still dealing with its aftermath?

It's been six months since Superstorm Sandy battered Long Island, bringing high winds and tides that caused destruction, flooding and massive power outages throughout the area. Many ran out to buy generators, chainsaws and sought relief centers for warmth, community and to recharge electronics so they could reach out to family and friends.

The aftermath of Sandy is still being felt in many communities. Some are still dealing with expenses, loss of income and damage to homes and cars as a result of the storm.

Patch wants to check in and see what we have learned after dealing with this storm. Are you still feeling the effects? Are you dealing with red tape from FEMA or other relief organizations?
