VIDEO: Choppy Waters in Mecox Bay During Storm
The end of Crescent Avenue in Water Mill was flooded.
When Irene hit the South Fork, it brought with it gusty winds. The winds coming off the Atlantic Ocean caused Mecox Bay to be extremely choppy throughout the day on Sunday. Water crashed up over the barrier at the end of Crescent Avenue, near Mud Creek, in Water Mill on Sunday afternoon, flooding the end of the street.
