UPDATE: 3 Injured in Noyac Road Collision

Two-car accident caused temporary road closure.

UPDATE 2: Southampton Town Police Sgt. Michael Joyce said Sag Harbor resident Cathy Nieves was driving a Kia Sportage on Roses Grove Road at 2:47 Friday afternoon when she made a left turn onto Noyac Road in front of a 2006 Peterbuilt truck, which was headed west.

Nieves and two passengers were transported by Southampton Volunteer Ambulance to Southampton Hospital, Joyce said. The driver of the Peterbuilt, Blair Brown, of Wading River, was not injured.

North Sea Fire Department was also on scene.

Nieves was issued a summons for failing to yield the right of way, Joyce said.

UPDATE: The accident was quickly cleared and Noyac Road was reopened to traffic in both directions.
