Train Service on the East End Suspended Indefinitely
Long Island Rail Road cancels trains east of Speonk and east of Ronkonkoma due to snow.
Train service east of Speonk on the Montauk branch and east of Ronkonkoma on the Greenport line will remain suspended until the snow can be cleared, the Long Island Rail Road has announced.
The LIRR did not state when travelers can expect service to be restored.
"It is accurate to say that there will be no service east of Ronkonkoma and no service east of Speonk after this evening's p.m. rush," LIRR spokesman Sal Arena said Tuesday. "That means no train service until further notice."
