The Week Ahead: iPad Class; Artists & Writers Night

1. Wellness Opportunity Workshop

Dr. Andrew Cohen, a chiropractor, offers a free workshop Tuesday at 6 p.m. on healing and wellness at 20 Hampton Road, Suite 5, in Southampton Village.

2. CPR / AED Class

Tuesday at 6 p.m., and the second Tuesday of every month, the Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance holds American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED class. The $30 cost of the class covers certification card, take home materials and an equipment maintenance fee. Seating is limited. Visit www.VillageEMS.org/CPR to register.

3. iPad Intermediate Class

GeekHampton in Sag Harbor offers a class Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. on getting the most out of your iPad. "The iPad is a great way to stay in touch with friends and family," GeekHampton states. "Emailing just scratches the surface. We will learn about Apple's FaceTime video chatting solution, iMessage and even Twitter!" Prerequisite for this class: Having an Apple ID and knowing your password. This is necessary for students to access the App Store. The class is $30.

4. Artist & Writers Night at Almond

Almond in Bridgehampton announces the third monthly "Artists & Writers Night" hosted by poet Kathryn Levy on Wednesday at 7 p.m.  The evening will be themed around Frank O’Hara’s Lunch Poems and Larre’s the traditional French bistro where O’Hara and other writers and poets gathered.  A family style three-course menu created by executive chef Jason Weiner will be served with discussions led by Kathryn Levy. The cost is $40, which includes the three-course dinner, a glass of local wine or craft beer, tax and gratuity.

“Through this event, we’re continuing the time-honored Hamptons tradition as an incubator of creativity," chef Jason Weiner explains. The evening will give artists and writers the opportunity to gather together to exchange thoughts and ideas while enjoying a great meal.

5. Troubadour Night with Dick Johansson & Friends

Join Dick Johansson & Friends Troubadour Night every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Pizza Place in Bridgehampton. Beer & Wine available. No cover, no minimum.
