Sag Harbor Competes for 'Happiest Seaside Town' Title

Coastal Living magazine names village a finalist.

Sag Harbor is among 10 finalists in Coastal Living Magazine's "Happiest Seaside Town in 2013" contest, and fans of the village have until the end of February to get their votes in.

According to Coastal Living, "This former whaling town-turned artist and writer colony, only two hours from New York City, has maintained its small-town feel (2,313 residents), thanks to a wealth of locally owned shops."

The magazine explained that the editors narrowed down every place named a Dream Town in the past 15 years and also took nominations over Facebook to get the 10 finalists.
