Rogers, Hampton, Jermain Libraries Close Early, Remain Closed Saturday
Blizzard forces closures of local libraries.
Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton Village, Hampton Library in Bridgehampton and John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor Village all closed early Friday due to the blizzard sweeping through the area.
The libraries will remain closed throughout Saturday, and the Friends of the Rogers Memorial Library Book Sale at Cooper Hall is also canceled.
Rogers Memoral Libray Director Liz Burns said she anticipates the library will open for its normal hours Sunday, from 1 to 5 p.m., but the piano concert planned Sunday at 3 p.m. has been canceled.

Hampton Library's family story time and Carnaval celebration originally scheduled Saturday are postponed until Feb. 16. The library intends to reopen Sunday and the music appreciation lecture with Prentiss Dunn scheduled for 2 p.m. that day is anticipated to go on as planned.
