Report: Southampton Man Piloted Crashed Helicopter
One killed in East River crash Wednesday.
Paul Dudley, the pilot of a helicopter that crashed in the East River Wednesday, killing one passenger, has a home in Southampton, The New York Times reports.
Dudley, 56, also had an emergency landing in a Brooklyn park five years ago, according to The Times. The Times also reports that Dudley owns the helicopter, a Bell 206 JetRanger built in 1976, that he used to commute to a small airport he manages in Linden, N.J.
