Plan Your Weekend with the 'Get Out' Guide: Generation Runway, Dancing with the Hamptons Media and More

The top suggestions on what to do this weekend.

Use the "Get Out" guide to plan your weekend in Southampton. The weathers getter warmer and the events are getting hotter so make sure you pick your favorites. Attend a dancing showcase, a casino night or treat yourself to some live music. Whatever you fancy, Southampton has something for you.

Where/When: , Friday, 7 to 10 p.m.
Why Go:
Media from the East End including , and will participate as dancers in this benefit event. There will be an open bar, great dancing, raffles and more. Join in and help benefit residents in Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Where/When: in the Duke Lecture Hall, Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Why Go:
Dr. Jeff Leviton of the Stony Brook Department of Ecology and Evolution will talk on the likelihood of restoring Oysters to New York Water. Don’t forget to stay for the reception afterwar.d

Why Go:
Come on down to Bridgehampton to say thank you to the library staff and get your grove on to The Sari Kessler Trio. The Friends of Hampton Library decided to throw the winter party as a thank you to the library staff. Hor d’oeurves will be served by Gloria’s Fine Good and Catering. The event will also provide wine and beverages.

$50; RSVP at the library or send a check.

Where/When: At the Watermill Center, 39 Water Mill Towd Rd in Water Mill, Saturday, 6 p.m.
Why Go:
This group is experimenting with a cross between contemporary dance and indie music. Come experience the experiment this weekend with live performance and video material. You can arrive as early as 4:30 p.m.

Free, but you must make a reservation at their website.

Where/When: , Saturday, 7 to 11 p.m.
Why Go:
Have all kinds of fun at this casino event hosted by Have a Heart Community Trust and The Paul Koster Memorial Benefit. There will be casino games, including a Texas Hold ‘em tournament, dancing, music, an hor d’oeurves buffet, open bar, all kinds of auctions and a raffle.
Pricing:
A well spent $60.

Where/When: , Sunday, 4 p.m.
Why Go:
This is the second year that local mother-daughter pairs will strut down the runway wearing clothing from local stores. The money for this event goes straight to the Flying Point Foundation for Autism.
Pricing:
Adults $50; Children $25—get your ticket now because they sold out last year.
