One Plane Crash Victim out of Hospital

The pilot of a plane that on July 24 has been released from , a hospital spokeswoman said.

Taylor R. Smith, 54, of East Hampton was let out on Friday. The passenger of the plane, Daniel Willman III, 23, of Connecticut, remains in intensive care, according to the hospital.

Willman's uncle the day following the crash that Willman suffered facial damage but retained brain function. He said Smith suffered a fractured skull and kidney damage.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
