Noyac Road Will Be Closed Thursday for Emergency Repairs
Highway workers will rush to get job done before Memorial Day weekend.
A 0.6-mile stretch of Noyac Road will be closed for eight hours Thursday due to emergency roads repairs, forcing commuters who rely on the route to take a detour.
According to a statement from Southampton Town Highway Superintendent Alex Gregor, the road will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. between Deerfield Road West to English Garden Road. The emergency work, which involves, drainage repairs, will take place just east of Rawson Estates and Deerfield Road.
The repairs cannot wait considering the anticipated precipitation over the Memorial Day weekend, according to Gregor.

Eastbound travelers can lane a detours from English Garden Lane to Deerfield Road back to Noyac Road. Westbround motorists can from Noyac Road to Deerfield Road to English Garden Lane. There will be signs and flagmen directing traffic, Gregor said.
