UPDATE: Many Town Roads Remain Closed Due to Snow Drifts
Highway department will try to clear roads again starting at 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Update: The roads are now reopened and passable, according to Southampton Town Police.

Due to snow drifting off farm fields and golf courses and blanketing previously plowed roads, the is reporting that several town roads are still not clear for vehicles to pass and will remain closed into the night and Tuesday morning.

said the highway department will attempt to plow the roads again starting at 3 a.m. and bring payloaders to remove the snow. The hope is to have the roads cleared before the morning commute.
The roads that were stilled closed as of 10:00 p.m. Monday include Tuckahoe Road along the , Shrubland Road between County Road 39 and Sebonac Inlet Road, Seven Ponds Road between David Whites Lane and North Sea Mecox Road, Halsey Lane in Water Mill between Montauk Highway and Rosehill Road, Head of Pond Road in Water Mill between Deerfield Road and Water Mill Town Road, Deerfield Road between Montauk Highway and Edge of Woods Road, Scuttle Hole Road between Strongs Lane and Lumber Lane, Cooks Lane in Bridgehampton between Scuttle Hole Road and Noyac Path, and all of Daniels Lane, Parsonage Lane and Hedges Lane in Sagaponack.
