Live Wire Closes 1 Eastbound Lane on County Road 39

Update 10:52 a.m. - According to LIPA, a crew was en route to the scene of the downed wire as of 10:42 a.m.

Previously:

A section of one eastbound lane on County Road 39 is closed Monday morning due to a downed power line, according to chatter on police radio.

The primary wire fell in front of the Southampton Driving Range, and emergency responders are waiting for a Long Island Power Authority crew to arrive.

There are currently severe thunderstorms hitting Southampton.
