Half-Built Huntting Street House Torn Down; Construction to Start Over

The home was being built in the wrong location, The New York Post reports.

A Southampton Village couple returned from vacation to discover the home they were having built on Huntting Street wasn't where it was supposed to be, and now they have to start from scratch again, The New York Post reports.

After Eric and Margaret Friedberg bought the property, they had the existing house taken down to make way for a bigger one, according to The Post. But the new construction turned out to be in the wrong spot — too far from the curb — leaving no room for a backyard or pool, the report states.

Margaret Friedberg told The Post it was an issue with the land surveyor that led to the $100,000 to $150,000 error.
