Get Out Guide: Relay for Life, Burlesque Party and March Madness Tournament

The top suggestions on where to spend your weekend, no matter what you prefer.

Starting this week the “Get Out” guide will include events for the whole family, so get ready for more fun coming from “Get Out.” Use to the guide to figure out what best suits you for a weekend of fun with your friends, family or sweetheart.

Where/When: , Friday to Saturday, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Why Go:
Raise money to support the American Cancer Society. Walk or run around the track with your team all night long to fund cancer research. and there will be other acts as well to keep the teams entertained.
Pricing:
Open to all.

Where/When: , Friday, 6 p.m.
Why Go:
This is an evening of fun for the kids. Suffolk County Legis. Jay Scheiderman’s new book, The Stonecutter, will be read and the museum will be serving pizza.

Free to members, $9 for non-members including admission. Reservations required.

Sergei Gurbelo is a multi-instrumentailist who will play blues, pop and more.

Degenerate Art will perform their work in progress, Red Shoes. It is a performance piece about a girl who is cursed to dance herself to death as a punishment for following her creative desire.

Bring in your computer to the Water Mill Cupcake Company for a free PC diagnostic evaluation from . Then grab a cupcake.

Why Go:
Go for a moderately paced hike lead by Marilyn Kirkbright at the Kurt Billing Memorial Trail and you will get a nice view of Cow Neck and Robins Island.

Why Go:
There will be an opening reception for these four expressionist painters: Shari Abramson, Roy Nicholson, Danny Simmons and Julie Small Gamby.

Why Go:
Come to the opening reception of Max Moran’s “April Rain.”
