A summary of corrections and clarifications on Southampton Patch.

We take transparency seriously. We're committed to accuracy, to acknowledging our mistakes, and to fixing them as quickly as possible. Corrections are marked with an asterisk (*) in stories in which errors have been fixed, accompanied by an editor's note in italics at the bottom of the story.

We do our best to get the facts right, but sometimes even Homer nods. If you see a factual error, tell us about it and we'll make sure we get it right.

Here are our recent mistakes:

Correction: In an earlier version of "," Ernesto Costa's birth year was incorrect. He was born in 1926.

Correction: An earlier version of "" incorrectly stated the type of cancer that Max Plotkin survived. He survived lymphoma, according to his father.

Correction: An earlier version of "" misstated how long Nick Hemby has been an EMT. While he has been a member of the Bridgehampton Fire Department for 13 years, he's only been a certified EMT for one year.

Correction: An earlier version of "Preservation Battle In Bridgehampton Taking Shape" erroneously stated that the parcel in question is owned by Channing Daughters Winery. According to town records, CP Bridgehampton LLC has owned the property since acquiring it from Walter Channing, a partner at Channing Daughters, on June 8, 2007.

Correction: An earlier version of "" misstated when the fee for a saltwater fishing license was imposed in New York State. The fee took effect Oct. 1, 2009.
