County Deeds Windmill Beach to Sag Harbor

Months after the Suffolk County Legislature and County Executive Steve Bellone approved the transfer, the deed to Windmill Beach was handed over to Sag Harbor Village on Aug. 2

Legislator Jay Schneiderman, I-Montauk, presented the document to the village trustees at the beach, which is next to the , another asset that the county is considering handing over to the village.

Schneiderman sponsored the resolution that authorized the transfer, which was adopted with a 17-1 vote on March 13 and signed by Bellone March 27.
