Tuesday's planned sentencing of Charlotte DePersia of East Hampton, who pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated after in Bridgehampton in November, has been postponed.
The sentencing was adjourned to Oct. 18, according to a spokesman for the district attorney's office.
The passengers in the second vehicle, an East Quogue couple and a New Jersey couple, including a pregnant woman, have called for a harsher sentence after learning DePersia, who is on probation for a previous DWI conviction, was . She is currently released on her own recognizance.

DePersia's attorney, Tad Scharfenberg, said he asked for the adjournment because he just received a pre-sentencing report from the Suffolk County Probation Department that day. "It's fairly long and intensive, and I have to have sufficient time to review it and make any comments I have in regard to it,” he said.
Scharfenberg said the contents of the pre-sentencing report are confidential and he cannot discuss it.

He expects to conference with the judge and district attorney's office at the Oct. 18 court date, and said the sentencing will follow in the days after.
DePersia also has a court date Wednesday, for violating her parole when she got into the DWI accident.
