The Hampton Library in Bridgehampton is closed Monday due to the building's heating system being broken earlier.
The library posted a notice on its Facebook page around noon Monday:
Brrr....it's cold in here. The Hampton Library is CLOSED today 1/28. We are waiting for the HVAC repairman to fix our heat. Once the heat is back on we will open our doors.
The library website noted that Flanders Heating and Air Conditioning got the heat back up and running, but the building needs time to warm up before patrons and staff can return. The library will open at its normal time Tuesday. "We will see you all bright and early on Tuesday when we reopen at 9:30 a.m.," the website states.
Discussion groups that would normally meet at the library Monday were moved to Starbucks, a few doors down on Main Street.
