Eastbound traffic on Sunrise Highway/Route 27 in Southampton is crawling due to an accident just west of the Lobster Grille Inn that has closed one lane.
The front end of one involved vehicle was smashed in. Emergency responders are on scene, and the left lane is closed. Traffic picks up again once motorists get past the bottle neck.
