Eastbound traffic on Sunrise Highway/State Route 27 is backed up for miles Monday morning due to an accident near the Hills Station Road intersection, where 27 becomes County Road 39.
Southampton Town police Sgt. Howard Kalb said one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the accident, which was reported at 7:46 a.m. No details about the nature of the accident were available.
