5 Events Going on This Weekend

Fundraisers, soccer tryouts, Christmas carols and more.

Here are five events happening this weekend around eastern Southampton Town for children and adults alike:

1. Tryouts take place this weekend for several traveling soccer teams, which will play their home games at the Future Stars indoor bubble in North Sea Park. Boys in grades 7 through 9 try out Friday night from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Girls in the same age group try out 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, and boys and girls ages 7 through 9 try out 11:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m.

2. Do you listen to WPPB 88.3FM? You can make a donation while enjoying a night (or two) of entertainment at Our Fabulous Variety Show, which will be held at Guild Hall in East Hampton on both Friday and Saturday nights, from 8 to 10 p.m. Cost of admission is $20, and proceeds will benefit the radio station.

3. Get into the Christmas spirit on Saturday at Bridgehampton United Methodist Church at a good old fashioned Christmas Carol Sing-Along. Taking place from 4 to 5:30, come and sing the classics while an offering will benefit the Bridgehampton Food Pantry.

4. Still looking for a unique gift, or something to decorate the house with for the party you'll be hosting soon? This is the last weekend to drop by Celadon Gallery and take advantage of Holiday Pottery Show & Sale. Click here for details.

5. Have you driven around town yet to take a look at the best decorated yards and homes? Let your neighbors know where the best lit homes are in Southampton, and if you haven't yet, enter Patch's Deck the House contest. It's free to enter, and the winner of the best-decked home wins $100,000 for their local school district.
