2011's Highest Home Sales Prices in the Hamptons

Baffling estate prices far short of 2010's priciest.

A Southampton Village estate at 1280 Meadow Lane was the Hamptons' most expensive home sale in 2011, selling in June for $25.0 million, The Epoch Times reports.

A estate, at 137 Crestview Lane, was close behind at $24.0 million, while Wainscott appears on the list in the #3 spot, with the $23.0 million sale of 5 Eel Cove Road.

Forbes rates Sagaponack as having the third priciest ZIP code in the nation, and it is where the largest single family home in the United States, , is located.

The highest price on the 2011 list came no where near 2010's top sale of $43.5 million, and doesn't even surpass 2010's #2 sale, according to the report.
