UPDATE: Power Restored to Most Homes

Outages reported in Tuckahoe, Shinnecock Hills, Southampton and North Sea.

Update 11:38 a.m. - While a few small pockets of outages remain, LIPA is reporting that power has been restored to most areas where it went out this morning. At one point, LIPA reported that more than 500 customers in eastern Southampton Town were without power. Now, less than 15 are reportedly affected by storm-related outages.

More than 200 are without electricity in eastern Southampton Town Monday morning as severe thunderstorms hitting the area take out power lines.

The biggest clusters of outages include 98 LIPA customers without power near Tuckahoe Road, 59 near West Neck Road and 48 near Sandy Hollow Road.  There are scattered areas were less than five customers are reportedly without power.

Also presumably due to the storm, a primary wire fell Monday morning in front of the Southampton Driving Range on County Road 39, disrupting traffic by .

Flooding in Noyac in the Whalebone Landing area has also been reported due to the rain.
