What's Open: Businesses Up and Running After Sandy

Many businesses chipping in any way they can for hurricane relief.

As the power comes back on in certain areas, many businesses are reopening.

Here is a list of businesses we have heard from, and what they want the community to know, plus some businesses we learned firsthand are open.

  • We are open for business until Nov. 5, when we close for eight days. We will be back open Nov. 13 till Dec. 1. We have water, electric, Wi-Fi and cable.

Candy Kitchen, Bridgehampton

Dunkerley's Office Products

  • Free Wi-Fi, and Internet access. We will not be charging for this service. We will charge up phones or other devices right here for free.

Golden Pear, Bridgehampton and Southampton

  • Drop in for coffee and a meal.

Greenlife Solutions, Water Mill

  • Greenlife Solutions is up and running and getting many phone calls about spraying foam insulations in crawl spaces that had fiberglass insulation that was soaked during the storm. Spray foam insulation is the only FEMA-approved insulation. It creates a water-tight barrier, while also helping create better air quality in your home or business. 

Hamptons Concierge, Water Mill

  • Hamptons Concierge has been busy helping people recover from the storm — whether it's checking on their houses, helping with clean-up, taking down the window boards we put up before the storm, and more. 

Herrick Hardware, Southampton

  • Carrying supplies for post-storm cleanup and power outages.

JCP Landscaping, Sag Harbor

  • Open everyday. Storm clean up services available. Fully licensed and Insured.  Call Jeff at 631-236-6917 or 631-725-0277.

Open Minded Concierge, Southampton

  • If anyone needs to power up any devices, or needs use of a fax machine or computer, they can stop by my office at 47A Jobs Lane, in Southampton. I am happy to offer this for our residents who need help. I am in and out helping clients dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, so it would be best for them to ring me first on my cell to be sure either I, or my assistant, is here. My cell number is 631-804-9818.

Pierre's, Bridgehampton

Riverhead Building Supply Corp, Southampton

  • Currently open for business!  We are anxious to hear from all of our customers and know that you are OK.  As long as we can safely get a truck out to a delivery address, we are delivering building materials and supplies all over Long Island.  We have waived all delivery charges and minimum order amounts during November, while neighborhoods repair, replace and rebuild.  All types of material are available for immediate delivery, including plywood, roofing, siding, tarps, etc. 
  • Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Townline BBQ in Sagaponack, as well as sister restaurants Rowdy Hall  in East  and La Fondita in Amagansett, are not only pen, they are offering a 25 percent discount for LIPA and utility workers from Friday through Thursday.

  • Drop in for coffee and a meal.
