Pottery Barn Soon To Open, Hiring Now

In Southampton Village, 1 Hampton Road is currently full of scaffolding and ladders as the former Saks Fifth Avenue store is converted into a Pottery Barn.

The building, which was formerly Southampton Town Hall, was long occupied by Saks until the business left in 2010. The large shopping destination was an anchor of the village business district and its vacancy was felt by other retailers. Then last fall, it was revealed that Pottery Barn had agreed to take over the space with a summer 2013 opening in mind.

Now, posters in the windows advertise the new tenant, including a side of the building dedicated to Pottery Barn Kids.

The store has also begun hiring, which comes as a boon to Southampton residents who have struggled since the recession to find a local job. Applicants may call 1-800-421-2004 mailbox 1251141.
