Pottery Barn Plans Opening Festivities Friday
The store is moving into the former Southampton Town Hall.
Pottery Barn and Potter Barn Kids will open at 1 Hampton Road Friday — a building that was originally Southampton Town Hall and most recently housed a Saks Fifth Avenue — and the public is invited to join in a grand opening celebration.
The festivities are planned from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free and attendees will receive a mason jar votive with a tea light, but an RSVP is required, as the capacity is limited. Visit pbsouthamptongoparty.eventbrite.com to register.
Activities for kids and adults will continue through the weekend.
On Saturday, decorating and entertaining demonstrations will be held throughout the day, while in the kids' store visitors will receive a mini-plush Clancy the Bear and balloons. Clancy the Bear, who is the store's mascot, will made appearances. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a face painting station.
On Sunday, a summer decorating class is planned at 10 a.m. and, in the kids' store, there will be a balloon artist from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
