Make Valentine's Day Plans at Local Restaurants, Venues

Dinner, shows and more — there are many opportunities for a romantic Valentine's locally.

For Valentine's Day, plan a special dinner at a local restaurant, go out for a show and dancing, or have a overnight getaway close to home.

These local restaurants and venues have specials planned, with price points all over the map.

Valentine's Day Dinner at Tom Colicchio's New Restaurant

Chef Tom Colicchio's new restaurant at 1 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike is offering a four-course pre-fixe dinner on Valentine's Day, $125 for adults, and $45 for children 10 and younger. Some of items on the meny are Fried Montauk oysters with braised chili bacon, horseradish and molasses jus; smoked pappardelle with mangalista guanciale and scallions; whole local striped bass for two with roasted fennel and citrus buerre blanc and brioche doughnuts with caramelized white chocolate filling for an after-dinner indulgence. Dinner is served from 5:30 through 10:30 p.m.

Three-Course Prix Fixe Dinner at Publick House
Southampton Publick House, Southampton Village

From 5 to 10 p.m. on Valentine's Day, Publick House will offer a $24.95 prix fixe dinner.

Four-Course Dinner at Chef Jason Weiner's Almond
Almond, Bridgehampton

Almond is offering a special four-course pomegranate menu on Valentine’s Day starting at 5 p.m., at a cost of $60 per person. The a la carte menu will also be served. The menu includes butternut squash soup, pomegranate marscapone, apple; iced Montauk pearl oysters, pomegranate-sherry mignonette or foie gras torchon, pomegranate-black peppercorn gelee; warm goat’s milk ricotta, pistachios, pomegranate and fried sage or Peconic Bay Scallops, pomegranate hollandaise, crispy Brussels sprouts, quail egg; rack of lamb, cous cous, saffron, Middle Eastern fruits or pomegranate glazed Spanish mackerel, fennel three way; and, for dessert, mocha pomegranate tart for two with espresso ice cream, pomegranate granite.

"Some Enchanted Evening"
Southampton Cultural Center, Southampton Village

Exotic Chocolate Tasting presents a performance and lessons from Arthur Murray School of Dance and fine wine and exotic cholate pairings at 6:30 p.m. on Valentine's Day.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Purchase tickets at southamptonculturalcenter.org.

 

Inaugural "UnValentines Day" Event
Bay Street Theatre, Sag Harbor Village

Join Bay Street Theatre for a screening of the film "War of the Roses," at 8 p.m. on Feb. 14. The 1989 film starring Kathleen Turner, Michael Douglas and Danny Devito is about a wealthy couple in a bitter divorce battle. The screening marks Bay Street's inaugural "UnValentines Day."

“Whether your single, married or divorced, all are welcome,” said Tracy Mitchell, the executive director of Bay Street Theatre.

Admission, including a glass of wine, is $10 at the door.

 

Romantic Getaway
Southampton Inn, Southampton Village 

On Valentine's Day, and all February long, Southampton Inn is offering a "Sweetheart Special" — $149 for one night, and $100 for each additional night, excluding tax and gratuity.
