Hampton Jitney Cancels Late Friday, Early Saturday Trips

Bus company calls off scheduled trips due to blizzard forecast.

In anticipation of a blizzard hitting Long Island with several inches of snow starting Friday evening, the Hampton Jitney is canceling a number of trips.

Via Hampton Jitney's Facebook page, the company announced that the last westbound and eastbound trips for Friday are canceled, as well as several early morning trips that were planned Saturday.

Friday's 7:30 p.m. westbound bus from Southampton to Manhattan and 11:30 p.m. bus from 40th Street to the South Fork are canceled.

With Saturday's early trips called off, the new first departure times for Saturday are:

Eastbound from NYC- South Fork
86th Street at 8:30 a.m.
69th Street at 8:35 a.m.
59th Street at 8:40 a.m.
40th Street at 9:00 a.m.

Eastbound from NYC- North Fork
86th Street at 9:20 a.m.
69th Street at 9:25 a.m.
59th Street at 9:30 a.m.
44th Street at 10 a.m.

Further cancellations are possible, based on the extent of the storm and snow accumulation.
