Deckline Teak Back in Business Following Fire
A late-night fire Monday that decimated the second floor of Deckline Teak in Bridgehampton barely slowed down the business, which reopened Wednesday.
Owner Donald Mendres said Thursday afternoon that the second story is closed off, but it is still business as usual otherwise.
"We're open and ready for business," he said.
Most of the furniture was stored in containers and unaffected by the blaze, Mendres said. Though, there are special discounts due to the fire.
The Montauk Highway teak furniture store is open daily through the end of September. Then Mendres heads to Bali, where he has a factory that employs 130 people, until he opens the store back up in March.
