10 Places to Ring in the New Year

There are plenty of New Year's Eve celebrations to choose from Friday.

From Westhampton to Montauk, there are many opportunities on Friday to celebrate the turn of the year in style:

1. The  in Southampton Village has a couples' celebration planned. It starts with a welcome reception from 4 to 6 p.m. at the inn, followed by a five-course dinner at , from 8:30 p.m. till 1 a.m. There will be a Polar Ice Lounge with ice bars and luges, a DJ and dancing, plasma televisions showing the ball drop in Times Square, and a Champagne toast at midnight. Transportation between the inn and Seasons of Southampton is provided. Then on New Year's Day, there will be a breakfast buffet at the inn's  restaurant, from 9 a.m. till noon. Check out is 2 p.m. The cost is $440 per couple, plus tax and gratuity.

3.  in Montauk is having a  themed New Year's Eve party. The evening starts at 7:30 p.m. with a cocktail party, with hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, followed by a five-course sit-down dinner with a seafood bar and pasta station. A Viennese dessert table will also be included. Soul be It, a 10-piece band, will perform, as well as DJs DES and Linda. Admission is $125.

4. Join Featherstones at 76C Jobs Lane in Southampton Village, adjacent to , for a New Year's Eve celebration starting at 7 p.m. Happy Hour will go on all night long into the wee hours of the morning. There is also an open bar between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. for $30.

6. Southfork Kitchen at 203 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Tpke in Bridgehampton has a special four-course prix fixe planned, opening with clams, oysters, Peconic Bay scallops, squid and mussels. For the second course, the choices include clam chowder and salad. The entree options will be Prince Edward Island mussels, arctic char, roasted chicken, and pasta fatta in casa, with Lake Montauk clams. The meal ends with a symphony of desserts and a glass of local bubbly. The prix fixe costs $65 from 6 to 9 p.m. and $75 thereafter. Call 631-537-4700 for a reservation.

7.  is putting on a special New Year's Eve performance at  at 8 p.m. As founding member of the iconic Allman Brothers Band, Gregg and his brother ignited the Southern rock genre. A natural artist gifted with a soulful and distinctive voice as well as brilliant keyboard and guitar expertise, Allman's unique, freewheeling yet musically masterful sound is legendary. Tickets are $145, $120 or $100.

8.  is having two New Year's Eve celebrations Friday. A  will take place between 5 and 8 p.m. Admission of $35 per adult and $25 per child includes three hours of unlimited cosmic bowling and a dinner of cold cut heroes, chips and soft drinks, followed by a sherbet punch toast at 8 p.m. Party favors will also be handed out. After, an  is scheduled from 9 p.m. till 1 a.m. For adults 21 and older only, admission is $50, which  includes four hours of unlimited cosmic bowling, shoe rental, a hot buffet, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. 9. In Sag Harbor,  has a  planned. DJ Tone Tigga will be spinning, as will the disco balls. A midnight champagne toast, noisemakers, streamers, masks and balloons will help ring in 2011.
