10 Places to Catch the Jets in the AFC Championship

Watch the Jets as they battle the Steelers to snag their first Super Bowl berth since 1969.

To truly savor a game that could give the Jets their first chance of heading to the Super Bowl since the 1960s, one needs the right surroundings. Widescreen HDTVs, soda, beer and  large amounts of hot wings are a must, and several places in the Southampton, Water Mill and Bridgehampton are offering sports fans some solid food and drink specials to entice them out of their homes.

If you're the type that likes to get out of the house with the boys (or girls) to enjoy some pigskin on the television at your local watering hole or restaurant, here's the lowdown on just where to go to enjoy the big game this weekend.

1. Everyone knows that a pub is the place to hang out with the crowd and get into the spirit of a one-of-a-kind sporting event. Stop in on Sunday at in Southampton Village. They have two giant flat screens with surround sound, Happy Hour from noon to 8 p.m. and $5 burgers and 50-cent wings all day.

2. Come on over to in Southampton Village, where things are always jumping. Get a drink, order your favorite from their excellent selection of bar food and then settle back to watch the game — or stay on your feet, if you're a diehard Jets fan.

3. Voted one of the "Best Bars in America" by Esquire, in Southampton Village is the local area's "real" sports bar. It's the perfect spot to meet friends, order an ice cold Bud and get ready for some Jets action.

4. If you are looking for good food and a family friendly atmosphere, come over to in Water Mill. Order one of their whole-wheat pizzas for the family and then step over to the bar to check on the game.

5. The next best thing to a seat on the 50-yard line: a seat at the bar at in Southampton Village. While you catch the game, enjoy the great food and the friendly atmosphere.

6. Look no further than the Taproom at the in the village for a relaxed spot to catch the Jets vs. Steelers game. The Publick House's microbrew ale is the perfect complement to an exciting night of football.

7. Get a few buddies and head to in Sag Harbor. They have five giant TVs with Sunday games via satellite, a full bar with wine by the glass and a wide selection of draft and domestic beers to wet your whistle as you cheer and shout.

8. If you are more a wine and tapas type, enjoy both while you keep tabs on the game at in Bridgehampton. Watch your team win on one of their big screen TVs. Why not stay for a celebratory meal?

9. Stop in at in Bridgehampton and grab a seat at the bar. You'll get a great view of the TV and the perfect spot to enjoy a "Global Appetizer" or one of their .

10. A traditional hangout for sports fans and steak lovers alike, Bobby Van's on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton is the place to cheer the Jets on to victory. Join the crowd around the bar and get ready to shout "Touchdown!"
