Reported Fire Shuts Down Southampton Main Street

Cars not allowed to pass.

Main Street in Southampton Village was closed to vehicular traffic Friday afternoon as Southampton Fire Department responded to a reported emergency.

Firefighters were outside Tenet and Juice Press, at 91 and 93 Main Street, with a ladder to reach the roof.

Cars could not pass between Hampton Road and Jobs Lane.

Second Assistant Chief and public information officer Chris Brenner said he would have more details later in the afternoon. He said the department was also called to Stony Brook Southampton Friday afternoon for an unrelated incident.
