Students from in Sag Harbor came to the Assembly Chamber on Wednesday, May 2 to discuss legislation I co-sponsored with Assemblyman Harvey Weisenberg that would require training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) be given as a part of the high school health curriculum, A.3980-A. The students traveled to Albany with health teacher Sue Denis in advocating for the "CPR in Schools" bill. They also performed hands-only CPR training demonstrations throughout the day in the Well of the Legislative Office Building.
