'Visual Heritage' Opens Saturday at Cultural Center

Southampton Cultural Center exhibition celebrates Black History Month.

The third annual "Visual Heritage" exhibition, in celebration of Black History Month, kicks off Saturday at the with an opening reception plus a poetry reading and book signing by artist Danny Simmons, introducing his third book of poetry, "Deep in Your Best Reflection."

In addition to Simmons, "Visual Heritage III: 4 Contemporary Artists" includes Sheila Batiste, Nanette Carter and Frank Wimberly. Learn more about the artists and their exhibition from Long Island Pulse.

Simmons' poety reading and signing begins at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The opening reception will be from 4 to 6 p.m.

The exhibition is open through Feb. 29. Gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday or by appointment
