The Watermill Center Presents a Visual Interpretation of Mozart

On Saturday May 17 at 8 p.m. at the Robert Wilson Watermill Center, 39 Water Mill Towd Road, Tillman Hecker, one of the current artists in residence at the Watermill Center will present a work-in-progress titled “Midnight.”

The performance includes three performers and is a multimedia production of video and light.  Reservations for are free but required and can be made at: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/midnight-tilman-hecker-tickets- 11574759417.

The performance is inspired by the scores of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. However, the audience will not hear Mozart’s music, but rather see it.

Mozart’s continued popularity and relevance derives from the intensity of his theatrical timing found throughout the structure of his compositions. The work Midnight visualizes this structure.

A Q&A and reception with the artists will follow the performance.
