'The Mistress of Monticello' Postponed at Southampton Cultural Center

This weekend's planned performances will now be held Feb. 22 and Feb. 23

With a blizzard, dubbed "Nemo," expected to blanket Southampton with several inches of snow Friday evening, the Southampton Cultural Center has decided to postpone this weekend's performances of "The Mistress of Monticello."

Rather than staging the show this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the show will take place in two nights, Feb. 22 and Feb. 23. Both shows will begin at 8 p.m. General admission is $10, while tickets for students younger than 21 is $5. Tickets are available at the door.

The play, written and directed by Tina Andrews, is about the relationship between President Thomas Jefferson and his slave and mistress, Sally Hemings.
